Petrol Bomb attack

Title – Petrol Bomb attack
Date – July 2001

This level of aggression demonstrated here at the Polices TSG training centre during the polices own training programme is not an area that Beyond The Blue specialises in… we believe that the best training available in such situations is a running coach…

At Beyond The Blue, we are aware that most of our clients are more interested in low impact techniques. By low-impact disengagement and personal safety techniques we refer to those which do not require force or strength, but rely on a cool head and intelligence. Research clearly shows that meeting force with force only intensifies the level of aggression. We train individuals to recognise the signs of escalating aggression and train individuals how to reduce the risks before they demonstrate themselves as aggressive behaviour.

If however aggression is encountered we teach, as part of our Physical Intervention course, techniques that create the space and the opportunity to get help or to use non aggressive techniques to deescalate the aggressive situation without the need to use force.

Riot Training

Title – Riot Training
Date – July 2001

Managers and staff at Beyond The Blue have had a variety of experience and training; this includes observation of training at the Police’s TSG training centre. We believe however that attempting to recreate training such as that offered to the police in the private sector, where financial and time constraint often mean that we only have a day or two available to train individuals is ineffective. The police, military and martial arts experts take years of continuous training in order to perfect their techniques and trying to recreate them in the short space of time available to us, is ineffective.

For our Conflict Management and Resolution, Physical Intervention and Personal Safety Courses we have developed simple personal safety and low-impact disengagement and restraint techniques that are easy to learn and easy to remember. They create time and space between you and an aggressor allowing you enough time to regroup, seek help or call for the police to do what they do best. Beyond The Blue specialises in teaching techniques that deescalate situations and do not escalates them, we consider ourselves proactive rather then reactive.

Happy Crowd

The management at Beyond The Blue gain most job satisfaction from these kinds of images. Our goal in the extensive planning we carry out for any event is that the customers enjoy the event they are attending.

Ultimately we want the public not to notice the extensive planning and organisation; we want our staff to blend in so they do not draw attention to themselves, yet we expect them to be clearly visible when required.

Our Event Management team can help you put together and event that will generate this kind of response from your customers and create an effect on those attending that they will remember for some time to come.
