Wheatus

Title – Wheatus
Date – June 2002

Wheatus tested the ability of the Beyond The Blue management team at this event and demonstrated the team’s ability to react quickly to changing circumstances.

Half way through the live set there was a predetermined plan for the singer to move from the stage to play live from one of the balconies at the venue. When he (as is his prerogative) chose at the last minute to take a different route back to the stage running through the middle of the crowd, the carefully prepared plan to ensure his security had to be shelved and staff had to use their experience and initiative to act on the spur of the moment. The action taken by staff and management meant that within a few second everyone knew what was happening and proceeded to react allowing the lead singer clear passage and providing the performance with an edge that many of the crowd will never forget.

A heart stopper for a few seconds for the management; but a show stopper for the crowd.

We can provide Event Management and Consultancy for any event you intend to stage. Our Event Security team can work as the exclusive security presence or we can build a team to work alongside your own in-house team.
