Cocktail Bar

Title – Cocktail Bar
Date – June 2004

Beyond The Blue is always seeking new avenues for its clients and their customers to benefit further from innovations at events. Cocktail are hardly a new concept and we will not claim to have discovered them. However through Consultancy Projects with our clients and through extensive staff training we recommend and provide the right solutions for your event.

Depending on the nature of the event you are running and our involvement with it, the popular choice of a cocktail bar can range anywhere from a high volume previously prepared version, to the all singing all dancing flair bar tender throwing ice, fruit, straws, umbrellas, glasses and alcohol into a glass and magically presenting the customer not only with a drink; but a show as well.

We have a range of solutions to enhance your event and we offer Event Management services if you require us to run the show on your behalf. What ever you require we can make it happen for you and your organisation.

Branding

Title – Branding
Date – June 2004

Product placement and branding are central to many events. They help to direct your customers to purchase the products you wish to sell them and can add to the flavour of an event you are running.

Here courtesy of Budweiser a very simple concept at no cost to the client, adds flair and excitement as customers file past to the bar where a cold beer is waiting for them.

Beyond The Blue is a training, Consultancy and Event Management company that can help you develop and execute an event to ensure success both from the point of view of you as a client and from your customers.

Wheatus

Title – Wheatus
Date – June 2002

Wheatus tested the ability of the Beyond The Blue management team at this event and demonstrated the team’s ability to react quickly to changing circumstances.

Half way through the live set there was a predetermined plan for the singer to move from the stage to play live from one of the balconies at the venue. When he (as is his prerogative) chose at the last minute to take a different route back to the stage running through the middle of the crowd, the carefully prepared plan to ensure his security had to be shelved and staff had to use their experience and initiative to act on the spur of the moment. The action taken by staff and management meant that within a few second everyone knew what was happening and proceeded to react allowing the lead singer clear passage and providing the performance with an edge that many of the crowd will never forget.

A heart stopper for a few seconds for the management; but a show stopper for the crowd.

We can provide Event Management and Consultancy for any event you intend to stage. Our Event Security team can work as the exclusive security presence or we can build a team to work alongside your own in-house team.

Petrol Bomb attack

Title – Petrol Bomb attack
Date – July 2001

This level of aggression demonstrated here at the Polices TSG training centre during the polices own training programme is not an area that Beyond The Blue specialises in… we believe that the best training available in such situations is a running coach…

At Beyond The Blue, we are aware that most of our clients are more interested in low impact techniques. By low-impact disengagement and personal safety techniques we refer to those which do not require force or strength, but rely on a cool head and intelligence. Research clearly shows that meeting force with force only intensifies the level of aggression. We train individuals to recognise the signs of escalating aggression and train individuals how to reduce the risks before they demonstrate themselves as aggressive behaviour.

If however aggression is encountered we teach, as part of our Physical Intervention course, techniques that create the space and the opportunity to get help or to use non aggressive techniques to deescalate the aggressive situation without the need to use force.

Riot Training

Title – Riot Training
Date – July 2001

Managers and staff at Beyond The Blue have had a variety of experience and training; this includes observation of training at the Police’s TSG training centre. We believe however that attempting to recreate training such as that offered to the police in the private sector, where financial and time constraint often mean that we only have a day or two available to train individuals is ineffective. The police, military and martial arts experts take years of continuous training in order to perfect their techniques and trying to recreate them in the short space of time available to us, is ineffective.

For our Conflict Management and Resolution, Physical Intervention and Personal Safety Courses we have developed simple personal safety and low-impact disengagement and restraint techniques that are easy to learn and easy to remember. They create time and space between you and an aggressor allowing you enough time to regroup, seek help or call for the police to do what they do best. Beyond The Blue specialises in teaching techniques that deescalate situations and do not escalates them, we consider ourselves proactive rather then reactive.
